For a more refined pop of color, try this dreamlike abstract painting. With some suggestions of delicate flower stems, the exquisite textures and use of complementary colors make this painting feel elegant. It's sophisticated and mysterious.

Wassily Kandinsky created Points in 1920. He analyzed the geometrical elements which make up every painting - the point and the line. He called the physical support and the material surface on which the artist draws or paints the basic plane. He did not analyze them objectively, but from the point of view of their inner effect on the observer.

"I was walking down the road with two friends when the sun set; suddenly, the sky turned as red as blood. I stopped and leaned against the fence, feeling unspeakably tired. Tongues of fire and blood stretched over the bluish black fjord. My friends went on walking, while I lagged behind, shivering with fear. Then I heard the enormous, infinite scream of nature." -Edvard Munch
